Lesson 7: The friend of God discovers her ailment and lays it before the king

Then he ˹the divine physician˺ rose and set out for the king, and let the king know a little of that ˹illness˺.

He said, “The plan is that we bring that man ˹the goldsmith˺ here for ˹the cure of˺ this pain.”

“Summon the goldsmith from that distant town ˹Samarkand˺, and beguile him with gold and a robe of honour.”
